Amaz amazes us with his signature Blingtron Priest deck, while showing off all the combos and tricks!

Introduction

This Priest deck is especially strong against aggro and control decks, with an emphasis against weapon classes. Matchups against midrange decks such as Druids and Rogues are more challenging.

 

Mulligans and Matchups

Against Aggro (Zoo Lock, Hunter, Mech Mage etc.), keep in your starting hand…

  • Northshire Cleric
  • Wild Pyromancer (especially going second)
  • Shadow Word: Pain
  • Power Word: Shield
  • Auchenai Circle + Circle of Healing combo (especially going first)
  • Shadow Madness (only going second)
  • Zombie Chow (if played)

Against Midrange (Combo Druid, Rogue, Shaman etc.)…

  • Northshire Cleric + Power Word: Shield (combo)
  • Injured Blademaster
  • Circle of Healing (especially going second)
  • Dark Cultist
  • Thoughtsteal
  • Auchenai Soulpriest (if you have a turn 3 play)
  • Harrison Jones (if opp. uses weapons)

Against Control (Ramp Druid, Paladin, Warrior, Priest etc.)…

  • Thoughtsteal
  • Injured Blademaster + Circle of Healing combo
  • Power Word: Shield
  • Dark Cultist
  • Northshire Cleric (only if you also have Wild Pyromancer/Injured Blademaster)
  • Harrison Jones (if opp. uses weapons or if you also have Blingtron)
  • Shadow Madness (esp. with Recombobulator)
  • Lightbomb (esp. versus Handlock and Warrior)
  • Zombie Chow

Tech Cards

If targetting specifcially against Aggro...

  • 2 Wild Pyromancer (important)
  • Holy Smite
  • 2 Light of the Naaru
  • 1 or 2 Sludge Belcher
  • Substitute Lightbomb, Thoughtsteal, Cabal Shadow Priest

If targetting specifically against Control…

  • 1 or 2 Shadow Word: Death
  • Dr. Boom
  • Mind Control
  • Substitute Zombie Chow, Holy Nova, 1 Injured Blademaster

Combos

Pyromancer Combos

  • Remember that Wild Pyromancer deals damage to itself as well
  • Use Circle Of Healing to start the combo off if you want to deal 1 additional damage to the board
  • (ex. Pyromancer -> Circle of Healing -> Power Word: Shield to kill your opponent’s 2 health minions, order matters!)

Circle of Healing + Blademaster/Auchenai

  • Against Control matchups, don’t be afraid to play a 4/7 Injured Blademaster early on
  • Against Aggro, try and save the Auchenai Circle combo for as long as possible (your opponent might get greedy)

Blingtron + Harrison Jones

  • Great at turn 5 (Play Blingtron, then play Harrison Jones the next turn), or use it as a turn 10 combo
  • Separately, use Blingtron to remove valuable weapons such as Powermace, Death’s Bite, or even an Ashbringer
  • Harrison Jones is good by itself as well
