Overview

Freeze Mage is a control deck aiming to limit the amount of damage taken in the early game with the aim of extending the game towards Alexstrasza and burn spell combos.To do so, Freeze Mage relies on finding a balance of defensive cards such as Ice Barrier and Antique Healbot, board clears such as Flamestrike and Frost Nova/Doomsayer as well as card draw mechanics such as Loot Hoarder, Acolyte of Pain, Mad Scientist and Arcane Intellect. By the nine mana turn, Freeze Mage aims to Alexstrasza their opponents to set their health to 15 ideally sitting comfortably behind an Ice Block and with enough burn spells (Fireball, Frostbolt and Ice Lance) to end the game the following turn.

    	Set up Flamestrike correctly. Use Doomsayer early because Keeper of the Grove makes it unreliable. Hold a Frost Nova for their Loatheb turn.
    	Coin ping their one drop. Preserving your life total is important. You don't need to save burn for their face.
    	Doomsayer is a hard counter to Mirror Entity because they can't stop the Doomsayer from saying DOOM!
    	Save burn for their face. Have a plan for them gaining 8 life because of cards like Lay on Hands.
    	Draw cards. Cycle minions early because of Cabal. Save burn for their face.
    	Kill every minion they play so you don't die to oil. You can fatigue them.
    	Beware Earth Shock. Mech has a lot of burst, you are not safe.
    	Sometimes you can ping Imp-Gang to fill up their board so they can't Owl your Doomsayer.
    	Bad times. A good Emperor -> Antonidas setup may be your only hope.
